The main towns are Kharga, Dahkla, Farafra and Bahariya.

Starting in Kharga there is the Pharonic Temple of Hibus, and the ancient city of Bagawat inhabited by the early Christians in the 3rd. and 4th. centuries and beautifully preserved.
Moving on to Dahkla and the Yellow Desert with amazing sculptures rocks. Within the town experience soaking in the wonderful hot springs. Outside the town on the road to Farafra you must stop at the medieval town of Al Qasr and see the sunset from the top of a sand dune.
Yellow desert changes to white desert, from Farafra a 4 wheel drive excursion into the white desert is breath taking. We can even arrange that you stay out in the desert overnight.
White desert changes to black desert as you move towards Bahariya which has the Golden Mummies only recently discovered.
